TOMS ONE FOR ONE

Ok so as I missed the chance to meet the founder of TOMS, Blake Mycoskie last week at the TOMS event so I went back to Lane Crawford the next day for the press day to check out the collection, if you're following me on Instagram you might already know about this.  As soon as I walked into the TOMS section I was immediately attracted by the bunch of TOMS that were hanging over the table, as you can see from my photos above they were all specially customized and if you're in Hong Kong go visit Lane Crawford at IFC, Central from 13th Oct - 18th Nov every Saturday and Sunday and you can customize your very own pair by just purchasing a pair of black or white canvas TOMS and show your creative side at the workshop.  As well as just buying shoes from TOMS you can now also purchase TOMS eyewear too.

Eight local and international artists were invited to customize a pair of TOMS shoes which was up for charity auction during the event that night, benefiting Changing Young Lives Foundation.  You can now see all these unique designs displayed on the wall "Artist Gallery" in Lane Crawford IFC (Hong Kong)

Blake Mycoskie created a "One for One" project, basically it's a project to donate new TOMS shoes to the children who live in extreme poverty.  With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need.

MONKI AW12

Some of my favorite picks from the AW12 collection

Last week I went to the Monki AW12 press preview to check out what they have in-store for the next coming season, other than just looking at clothes we made super cute candles too which was quite fun.  The AW12 collection consists of five trends, bright colours, jeweled collars and playful prints in fabrics ranging from knits and woven chiffons to flowing jerseys and leather.  Graphic black and white with details like squares, lines, tartan checks, etc.  For the winter comfort they have New England college flannels, cosy traditional knits, fake fur, mohair, just everything you need.

BEADS AND EMBELLISHMENT H&M AUTUMN 2012

"Minimalism meets maximalism for women this Autumn at H&M"

Last week I went to the H&M press day to have a look at whats in-store this Autumn 2012.  Tailored coat, zippered-ankle slacks, oversized cable knits, collarless bomber jackets and printed leggings are the key garments this coming season.  I'm really excited for the Autumn 2012 collection, I spotted so many pieces I want from the collection already, the gold satchel, the animal printed shorts, the knits and the accessories are all really gorgeous.  Next season's accessories we are talking about costume jewellery, embellishment and beads.

Sleek black and futuristic grey with browns are the main colours in autumn.  A burst of colour will be found in prints and patterns  and a surprising pop of metallic.  I definitely know what I want next season!

The amazing British shoe brand Irregular Choice has officially landed in Hong Kong, the first store in Asia.  Today I had the chance to meet the designer and creator of Irregular Choice, Dan Sullivan.  He seriously has a super creative mind, every shoe has their own theme and story and he still designs every shoe himself.

I'm a massive shoe fanatic, I love buying shoes and looking at gorgeous shoes.  When I know I'm going to spend the whole day out, I would like to wear a pair of comfortable shoes.  ECCO's Spring/Summer 2012 collection has done the trick, comfortable but stylish at the same time.

When I went to check out the SS12 collection the other day, I spotted a pair of really nice Oxford's and red wedges (above), and for the men's the "Androw" (above) are super cool, all with comfortable insoles.

I'm loving True Religion's SS12 collection!  Introducing four super cool themes, The Bohemian, The Wanderer, The Maverick and The Rebel.  Spring/Summer 2012 is mainly about colour, it's nice to add a pop of colour to your outfit sometimes.

FOREVER 21 HONG KONG

Forever 21 opened it's doors in Causeway Bay Hong Kong on the 18th Jan 2012.  When I walked into this shop the other night I was not surprised at all, the shop was crazily packed.  The queue to the changing rooms and to the cashier was endless.  Hong Kong has been waiting for a long time for this shop to open and here it is.

With 3 floors opened for customers and another 3 floors still under construction, the grand opening will be taking place in Spring 2012 with all 6 floors being revealed.

New deliveries are added to the vast in-store selection daily, with women's wear, men's apparel, kid's wear and accessories.  You will definitely be able to find something in there.  The store is open from 10am-1am daily.

Forever 21 has created the 'Cast Forever 21' it's a competition to look for fashionistas in Hong Kong, enter if you believe you have the style of Forever 21 by posting your most stylish picture on www.facebook.com/Forever21HK, the contest will be running between 18th Jan-31st March.  The winners will be given HK$1,000 gift card and an exclusive invitation to attend the VIP grand opening event in Spring.
