NEW IN: MAKE UP BRUSHES

Putting make up on is indeed one of my daily routines, and when it comes to picking my make up tools I do tend to get quite fussy, especially with make up brushes. For the past couple of months I have in-fact been hunting for some new make up brushes to add to my make up bag, and a couple of weeks ago I found some.

I do like my brushes to be nice and soft as it's going to be touching my face on a daily basis, and I have to be very honest I do usually go for brushes that's made with animal hair, but this time I decided to go for synthetic taklon bristles and i'm actually quite impressed. I went for the Real Techniques Travel Essentials set, which includes the foundation brush, multitask brush and the domed eyeshadow brush, three of the most important brushes you need.

The ultra-plush brushes come in a make up case which is perfect for travelling.

*Lipsticks provided by Shu Uemura

I've never been a big fan of red lipsticks because I could never find the right shade for my skin tone, to be honest i've always been scared it would make me look too over the top or it would make me look strange.  After trying out the Shu Uemura "Mon Shu Red" lipstick (the one i'm wearing in the pics), I genuinely love it.  At first, I was a bit worried it would be too bright for me, but surprisingly enough it actually compliments my skin tone.  I was also sent the "Baby Flame" lipstick too which is a more orange/red shade, suitable for paler skin tone.

Red lips are one of the most classic make up trends, and it's huge this AW13, so i'm certainly going to wear more of it.  I've combined the "Mon Shu Red" lipstick into my everyday natural make up look, which fits perfectly well.  I'm loving this lipstick because it doesn't have a solid matte effect whereas, it's more transparent with a shiny finish and easy to apply.  The "Mon Shu Red" lipstick has made a come back to the Shu Uemura lipstick collection, so don't miss out!

PS: Please excuse my awkward looking face, i'm really bad when it comes to taking upfront close-up shots of myself.

PRODUCT REVIEW: BARE MINERALS EYECARE DUO

Photobucket
Photobucket

Thanks to Bare Minerals, I've been trying out their two new products Renew & Hydrate Eye Cream and the Firming Eye Treatment for the last couple of weeks, when I first applied the two products I thought it had a strange smell it smelt a bit like antiseptic cream but don't worry, don't be put off by it.  I kind of like the texture of the two products though, the firming eye treatment sort of feels like glue it's slightly sticky but to be honest I have noticed that it has become less puffy around my eye area.  Bare Minerals has introduced ActiveSoil complex and other natural ingredients into the eyecare duo, which are able increase cell turnover, reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles.  If you're looking to change your eyecare products I think you could give this eye duo a go.

BARE MINERALS: PURE TRANSFORMATION NIGHT TREATMENT LAUNCH

Photobucket

Bare Minerals has launched a very different kind of sleeping mask "Pure Transformation Night Treatment", it's in a loose powder form just like the make-up powder you wear when you go out.  It helps to reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles resulting in a glow on your skin when you wake up in the morning.  A powder form sleeping mask but moisturizes your skin sounds kind of strange but sounds attractive at the same time.  Who doesn't like to try strange things once in a while?!

I'm trying out the this sleeping mask too right now, product review to come soon.
